With a demonstrated commitment to environmental concerns, Pregis continues to lead the protective packaging innovation. We plan to continuously improve and strengthen our packaging product solutions and offer environmentally-responsible solutions that help meet the needs of our customers.

With its advanced cushioning abilities, IntelliPack® foam-in-place packaging meets or exceeds product performance requirements, while minimizing raw material usage.  This means that waste, weight and use of raw materials is reduced. In addition, our consumable products possess the following characteristics:

• Two 55-gallon drums of SmartFOAM™ expand to fit a 53-ft trailer truck, maximizing transportation logistics and minimizing fuel consumption/ number of trucks on the road.
• SmartFOAM™ does not contain any chlorofluorocarbons or hydrofluorocarbons which can be damaging to the ozone layer.
• SmartFOAM™ compresses to a fraction of its original size when introduced into a landfill.
• SmartFOAM™ has a higher BTU than coal and produces less ash, making it an ideal fuel source for municipal incinerators.
• Each year, hundreds of millions of pounds of post-consumer polyurethane foam waste are diverted from landfills and recycled as bonded carpet cushion.
• SmartFOAM™ can be reused as cushioning or void-fill for other products.
• The film covering the SmartFOAM™ is recyclable under #2, HDPE.
